We are looking for a Nursery Deputy Manager with a minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare and experience working in a day nursery with children aged 3 months to 5 years of age.

Key Responsibilites
- You will adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure that these are adhered to by all staff
- You can promote a good practice to meet the requirements of the EYFS
- You can ensure appropriate planning and assessment is in place
- You can provide leadership and support to all staff to enable them to establish professional and positive working relationships with both colleagues, parents and carers
- You can deploy staff and shift/lunch rotas effectively
- You can implement effective keyperson system
- You can ensure that all children are kept safe and that staff are confident to follow safeguarding procedures
- You will support the Nursery Manager to evaluate and promote reflective practice with all staff
- You will conduct parent tours of the nursery
- You will support the Nursery Manager with recruiting, inducting, supporting, training and appraising all staff to deliver high quality childcare practice
- You will support the Nursery Manager in the day to day running of the nursery and help generate and plan ideas
- You will support the Nursery Manager to facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations
- You will support the Nursery Manager with all administrative duties, including maintaining children’s records, ordering resources and keeping personnel files
- You will enjoy being in the rooms with children daily and cover any staff absences or emergency leave as required.

Essentials
- You have a minimum full and relevant Level 3 qualification
- You have excellent Safeguarding knowledge
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a leadership role
- You can communicate confidently with adults and children
- You are organised
- You are approachable
- You have good verbal and written communication skills
- You are passionate about childcare and development and understand the EYFS
